King Paramount, the autocratic ruler of the South Sea island of Utopia, has sent his daughter, Princess Zara, to England to learn about English ways and customs, with the intention of modernising Utopia. She returns with six “Flowers of Progress” (gentlemen who represent the Great & Good of England) to explain English culture and institutions. One of the Flowers is a company promoter, who suggests to the King that Utopia becomes a limited company. The King agrees, with hilarious and unforeseen results…
Written in 1893, Utopia, Limited was Gilbert and Sullivan's penultimate collaboration in which Gilbert satirises almost every English institution. It is accompanied by some of Sullivan's finest music with colourful sets and costumes. This fully staged and costumed production will be directed by Duncan Hamilton. The 24 piece professional orchestra will be conducted by Musical Director Dick Stockton. Be sure not to miss this rarely-performed gem.

Our singing holidays are for individual choral singers, couples, and groups of friends. You don't need to come as part of a choir – we make our own choir. Most events are abroad but there are always one or two singing weekends in the UK. All our singing holidays conclude with a concert in a prestigious location.
Groups are typically 50 to 55 singers. Our events are for experienced choral singers only but the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Our musical directors are respected musicians, who have many years' experience of getting the best from choirs.
